This is the final project of the master I did in Lightbox Academy.
It's the first animation I've ever done, and I had to tell a story in a very short time.
· I did a story board of the main shots, trying to structure it into 3 parts: introduction, main action (the transformation) and the final shot.
· Because of time constraints, I had to carefully select which parts needed more detail and which props were going to be blurrred in the background, so I created a basic layout and animated the cameras to understand where to focus
· 3D modelling and UVs done in Maya
· I rigged the character and used blend shapes for the face.
· I created the animation, starting with a fully assembled arm and then making all the pieces move amd disappear. Then I reversed the animation of the pieces and added somef delay between each piece to make them move one after the other.
· Textues done in photoshop, render wih Arnold
· Compo made in After Effects, adding motion blurr, depth of field, particles of dust, camera imperfections, etc
